Helios – Our Premium Diesel

Our premium diesel aptly named "Helios" - the personification of the sun in Greek mythology.

Helios is a fuel made from blending high quality diesel with a renewable additive. It burns like regular petroleum diesel but with less environmental pollution. The additive in Helios is made from a renewable resource either a vegetable oil like canola or tallow, a waste animal fat or a combined blend of these resources.

During the manufacturing process of the additive oils and fats are transformed into a product with flow and combustion properties similar to those of conventional petroleum fuels by a simple reconstruction process of its molecular chains. This process is called transesterification. During the transesterification process the oils and fats are reduced to the desired esters and the free fatty acids are removed.

Once the additive is manufactured it is stringently tested and then blended at temperature with our high quality diesel product to create a superior fuel that has less impact on both the environment and your bottom line.

The most important differentiation between Helios and other alternative fuels is that Helios is a fit for purpose product and meets the current specification for Diesel.
